Paddington House of Pancakes @ The Gardens, Mid Valley City

The day we went to watch Skyfall, we had breakfast first in Paddington House of Pancakes. It is considered as one of my favourite haunts because I have really no idea where else to eat o.O The same people are still working there. Wow.

I would declare that this restaurant serves the best carbonara to my liking. I hope the quality doesn't drop as this happens to a lot of eateries. Food are mostly made by humans after all.

The price for the carbonara is RM 15.00

Inside this carbonara, there is a poached egg, chicken bacon and mushrooms. It not not super creamy. Those who doesn't like creamy food can take this. It doesn't make you jelak. The portion is also just nice for a small eater like me. Even for Andrew it was good enough to fill his stomach :)

As I said, we all love carbonara so the four of us ordered that!

My cousin, Qi Wen, ordered the drink called Immune Zoom. What made it special for me was the thin slices of apple stuck on the side of the glass. The picture will explain it better than me XD Inside Immune Zoom, they blend peach, honeydew melon, apple and cranberry. Both of us love to crunchiness of the apple slices after drinking this.
It costs RM 9.50

I ordered Hot Chocolate. Can you guys see the smiley face made using marshmallows?! So cute. The drink was nice but there are better tasting ones out there. The difference is the marshmallow smiley face :) It costs RM 7.50.

Marshmallow Drinks

I'm a marshmallow lover since I was a kid. Maybe it's because my aunt used to buy from overseas to give my family. I love everything from cakes to BBQ marshmallows!

#1 The drink is originally from hot cocoa mix with marshmallows. 

#2 You can buy this from Cold Storage Supermarket for RM 13.99.

#3 This is from the original packet from the Marshmallow Classics.

From the picture, it looks like there are less marshmallows from the #1 pic? 

I used the other packet that I bought from Singapore which is called Marshmallow Fat Free where there's a lot more marshmallow compared to the Classics' version .

You can see the differences in the following picture.

#4 The Marshmallow Fat Free version that I bought in Singapore. The taste is just lighter & the hot cocoa taste is not as strong as the Classics.

#5 I accidentally threw the box away because just left 1 packet in my kitchen. You can see the separate packets for marshmallow and the hot cocoa mix.

#6 Those marshmallows above is from the fat free version. More marshmallows than the classics version. 

#7 My younger brother wanted to drink too so he

decided to help me boil the milk. He is a good chef anyway & sometimes he'll cook kim chi soup for me to drink.

#8 I used to boil water to make my drinks but this time I boiled milk to put into the drinks. The difference after all was I just felt so full in the stomach until I didn't eat my dinner.

#9 Left side of the cup is Classics & right side of the cup is Fat Free. 

The moment I poured hot milk into the Classics, the marshmallow just melt in seconds. For the Fat Free version, the marshmallows are separated from the cocoa powder so you can dump the marshmallows later.

McCafe is in Malaysia now!

The first McCafe I saw was in Singapore but now it is in Malaysia too!

The first McCafe branch in Malaysia is at Kota Damansara.

They serve food such as muffins, brownies and cakes.

The muffins are sold for RM 5.90 each.

Hot chocolate and mocha frappe

There are hot drinks such as hot chocolate and coffee. McCafe

price is more affordable than Starbucks . Tyng said the hot chocolate at this branch taste nicer than Titiwangsa McCafe branch.

Hot chocolate costs RM 6.75 inclusive of tax.

Mocha Frappe is RM 7.95 for medium size.
