Tokyo Pasta Mario in 313@Somerset

Hi guys. Ever since I hit the maximum photo upload quota, I feel very lazy to blog because it took a longer time to complete a blog post. It has become a hassle of some sort. If you guys have any simpler photo host to recommend, please let my friends and I know. I am using Flickr and it is a pain.

Anyway this is the Singapore post which got delayed.

My family and I went to 313@Somerset and ate in this shop called Tokyo Pasta Mario. Sounds like a n arcade game no?

You can choose to sit at the counter or you can look for more tables and chairs at the back. At the back, there's a long table. That was where I sat.

Look at this HUGE plate on display. The plates on the left are the regular sizes.

I took the menu for everyone! XD On the bottom left corner, you can see the Spicy Choice and the notice that says their curry contains pork.

There is curry for everyone. You can choose the level of spiciness for your curry. There are 5 types of spicy: Normal Hot, Extra Hot, Very Hot, Super Hot, Monster Hot. All of us chose Normal Hot.

Once you order, you'll get the familiar UFO. When it blinks or flickers red, it means your dishes are ready to be collected.

fish
Fish Fillet Curry,  S$ 8.80

This is Fish Fillet Curry. It costs S$ 8.80. It was nice and all-meat. However I don't really fancy the salad dressing. The salad dressing did not taste like thousand island and was very sour for me.

chic
Chicken Katsu Curry,  S$ 9.80

The next dish is Chicken Katsu Curry. It costs S$ 9.80. The fried chicken is not oily and done just nice. Juicy meat with yummy rice! Om nom nom! The curry got salty for me after awhile but it is alright when eaten with rice and the chicken meat. There is pork inside the curry so it is not halal.

cheese
Cheese Chicken Katsu Curry,  S$ 10.80

My cousin ordered Cheese Chicken Katsu Curry. It costs S$ 10.80. When it came to the table with Chicken Katsu Curry, we could not differentiate which was with cheese. We decided to taste the meat from each dish but it both tasted the same and we could not taste the cheese! Both of the dishes tasted the same so we just chose a plate and got on with eating.

pork
Pork Katsu Curry,  S$ 9.80

The Pork Katsu Curry costs S$ 9.80. My dad said it was nice.

Cheese Omelette Curry,  S$ 9.80

My sister ordered Cheese Omelette Curry. It also costs S$ 9.80. This dish has only pork meat in the curry. She finished eating all the curry on her plate.

Old Sweet House @ Seri Petaling

Decided to try this new shop called Old Sweet House. If I am not mistaken, it used to be Tarik Tarek.

The interior of this shop looked alright. However, when I sat down I found that the table is too high because the chair was low. It was uncomfortable when it came to eating so I hope they change the tables or chairs because the food was good. I would go back but I want to eat in comfort. Hahahaha!

I was spoiled for choice as I flipped their menu. My dad had the same problem too. What to eat? All sounds good. They have some interesting food to me. Got me wondering how it'll look and taste like. The picture below shows you a very, tiny part of the menu.  I feel ulu because I got excited when I saw French Toast with Red Pork -_- and White Pork.

I finally decided to get Mushroom Fish Fillet with Rice. It costs RM 9.90. I love it. The fish fillet was not dripping with oil *thumbs up for me!* The sauce was mushroom sauce, not super salty like the ones I have eaten. Kind of reminded me of soup like Campbell soup. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't but I am not going to insult the chef that day. Heeee. The salad tasted fresh. It did not feel layu. Crunchy. Long story short, I finished it all.

When I went back with my sisters, they ordered this dish too. This time the salad has more colour because they added in carrots. The mushroom sauce was yummmms.

Mushroom Fish Fillet with Rice, RM 9.90

My dad ordered Portuguese Style Fried Rice. It costs RM 10.90. He did not expect the portion to be big so for small eaters like my dad and I, a heads up: share this with someone if you think of ordering this dish. I tasted a bit of this dish and it was yummy too. Inside, there's bacon, capsicum, onions and Portuguese sauce mixed in. The bacon was tasty. Nyam nyam nyam.

It appears that they have a bakery too but I did not check it out because it looked empty. This is a shop where we have to go back a few times to check it out.

During our second visit wit my sisters, my dad ordered Club Sandwich. It costs RM 4.90. I did not taste it. Inside, I saw ham, eggs, tomatoes, cheese, cucumber.. the usual club sandwich. As you can see, it was served with lots of fries. The fries goes well with the mushroom sauce from my mushroom fish fillet rice too.

Charcoal BBQ House @ Seri Kembangan , Selangor

My friends brought me here for the second time because first time came here it was closed on Monday for the charcoal bbq. She bought a Groupon deal for this charcoal bbq for only RM35 (4 person)  & additional side order will be less 20%.

The drink was part of the deal. I regretted to order this hot green tea because the staff put too many green tea leaves into the pot until the teapot itself was stuck so cannot pour out. ==.! Order cold green tea is better.

Our dish ordered from the menu to bbq later. Everything tasted alright to me except pork belly, which is at the bottom row, in between the sausages and beef in the picture. We used the pork belly to make the fire bigger in the bbq pit. Hey, it works! XD

Charcoal BBQ House menu.

2nd page of the menu.

We are waiting for bbq pit!

Here comes the bbq pit.

Ivan helped to cook lamb at the bbq pit.

This is also part of the deal. I love the white button mushroom so do my friends & I can taste the sweetness of the mushroom . Adeline love to eat the "kam chin yuk" which is the red meat on top the picture & Grace love the meatballs.

You can adjust the fire on the bottom of the pit.

All of us love the sauce & it's not spicy.

Boiling soup with full of vegetables & mushroom.

This is part of the deal bought from Groupon.

We ordered additional meatballs &"kam chin yuk" for bbq. The boss treated us additional ham plus mini sausages also. Grace told me that the meatball is smaller than first served.

The surrounding of the shop.

We wanted to order fried ice cream but the boss told us that the fried ice cream they had was not fresh. He decided to treat us other ice cream.

This is set dinners they offer in the restaurant.

Outside of the restaurant.

Boss name & handphone number.

Address , contact number & email are given in the name card.

Umai Bento House @ Kuchai Lama

It has been some time since my family came back to this restaurant to eat. This is what happens when everyone in the house is lazy to cook, but it's a bonus for you readers because I'll be eating out :P

Butter Chicken Set, RM 9.90

I ordered Butter Chicken Set. God knows why I ordered chicken, when I usually ordered fish. This dish costs RM 9.90. The set comes with a bowl of soup which I love because it's not super salty that you'll think twice about taking it in and a plate of fruit. I don't like it very much because I don't like cartilage in the meat.

If you want to try a good Butter Chicken rice, go to Rabbit Cafe in Seri Petaling (Near Saujana school).

When I was eating the tofu (bottom right of the picture), I spotted a small strand of hair.... umm.. eee. I left the tofu alone.

The plus side of this dish? There are a lot of chicken meat balls.

Tofu Minced Meat Set, RM 8.90

Twin number 1 ordered Tofu Minced Meat Set. This costs RM 8.90. It also comes with a bowl of soup and a plate of fruit. She said it was okay and she'll order it again.

Teppanyaki Fried Tofu with Egg, RM 11.90

Twin number 2 ordered Teppanyaki Fried Tofu with Egg. The price is RM 11.90. Again, it comes with a bowl of soup and fruit. She likes it and when asked if she would order it again, she said "I guess so." The tofu reminds me of my childhood. Back to the past. Whoosh!

Salted Egg Chicken Set, RM 9.90

Dad ordered Salted Egg Chicken Set. This dish costs RM 9.90. My dad said it's very filling and the egg was quite good.

Hot Longan & Winter Melon, RM 3.00

The drink I ordered was hot longan and winter melon. It costs RM 3.00. I like winter melon since I was young so I like this drink. For those who doesn't like sweet drinks, I don't think you'll favour this.

Hot Lime & Plum Juice, RM 3.20

My dad ordered hot lime and plum juice. It costs RM 3.20. It looks good but I did not try it. My dad did not complain about the drink so I guess it was nice, not too sweet etc.

On an unrelated note, their receipt is printed on hard paper. Well, tougher and feels stronger than the usual receipt papers. Ada quality. ROFLMAO

Rockfish Fusion Gourmet @ Puchong

I wanted to blog about this and I usually keep receipts because I don't remember prices.
When I decided to blog about this restaurant, I couldn't find the receipt!
Anyway, luckily for you guys, I did snap a few pictures of their menu!
XD

The restaurant is known as Rockfish Fusion Gourmet.
It is also known as ROCKFISH Restaurant & Bar.

Greeting us at the entrance is a penguin.

The penguin was holding the door for everyone. However, a kid went and hit it. Not a grateful kid :P

This is the interior of the shop. Asian Fusion.

The first thing I noticed in the restaurant was the picture on the wall. It reminded me of the drawings in Roald Dahl's books. Not exactly the same, but it gave me the feeling that reminded me of the illustrations in the books.

The second picture on the wall. Both pictures have different faces in it.

Some of the decorations beside the picture.

Behind where I sat, there are dangling fish bones.

Now we come to the food!
I ordered Katsu Fish and Chips.
It costs RM 15.12 (It was 20 percent off that day)
It does not taste oily and it was good.
The fries were not soggy or super hard either, it was just nice.

Katsu Fish and Chips

Andrew ordered German Fish & Chips. It was also 20% off so it costs RM 18.32.
Both of us couldn't taste the difference between our fish and chips, they tasted the same. The only difference we could ascertain was the crust, or the outer layer was definitely different.
His was hairier (HAHAHAHAHAHA!)

I'm not too sure how to describe the outer layer so I said it was hairier.

 Hairy/ German Fish and Chips.

My sister ordered Katsu Pork Chop with Carbonara Spaghetti.
Again 20% off so it's RM19.12. My sister did not like it because there was capsicum. That means it tasted alright, just that she didn't like capsicums.

Katsu Pork Chop with Carbonara Spaghetti

Dad ordered Katsu Pork Nuggets.
It was so tasty everyone had a bite and I could only take this one picture.
And I didn't take this part of the menu so I don't know the price T_T

The Last Pork Nugget alive.
